SEVEN-YEARS STRATEGIC PLAN (2008-2015) DEVELOPED FOR CSRPM
In order to justify its existence, the CSRPM is determined to make significant contribution to the development of herbal medicine, and also to play a more leading role in plant medicine research in the country. In line with these objectives, the Centre, in August 2006, engaged the services of Strat-Afrique, a team of Ghanaian management consultants, to assist the Centre in re-shaping its vision; a vision which would guide its programs and activities for the next seven years.
The outcome of this exercise is an elaborate 7-year Strategic Plan, crafted to guide the Centre in charting a course that would lead to the realization of this new vision. The process leading to the development of this document afforded the Centre the opportunity to critically review its performance to date, and to examine the opportunities available to it that could be exploited to make the Centre more relevant and able to successfully carry out its mandate.
It is hoped that this 7-year strategic plan, if well implemented, will enable the Centre to play a major role in plant medicine research and development in the country.
